Richard participated in the Wellington protest, observed police interactions with demonstrators, and noted a sense of uncertainty in the trust between citizens and law enforcement. After returning from the protest, the Police arrived at Richard's address with a search Warrant. The video shows police failed to follow search warrant procedures. The warrant was unsigned by a judge, and Richard was arrested for obstruction when he tried to read it. (Therefore, did not plead to the obstruction charge) Richard did not make any threats; nevertheless, he maintained that the government ought to be held responsible for its economic management and for requiring citizens to receive a recently developed and unverified vaccine. Political opinion alone is not a crime in New Zealand. Police did not provide any witnesses in court, stating that Richard had made threats against anyone. (Therefore, did not plead to threatening anyone) In court, police prosecution quoted only selected words from online chats, omitting full context, which courts should consider.
What steps can New Zealanders take to restore confidence in the police force, Courts, and Corrections when established procedures are not upheld? This twenty minute video, taken 29th March 2022, gives some indication of how Richard was treated following his time at the Wellington protest on parliament grounds. Some context...

Sivellian

Pronounced "civilian".

Richard is in a contest for his life. Where is he to find justice? He is in prison and his next court appearance is 20th January, 2026 in Rotorua. He is defending himself and does not trust court appointed counsel. How will he defend himself without access to research technology? Richard is intelligent, articulate, and well able to formulate his own defence. He has the right to defend himself but is hindered from doing so. What is more, his more recent appearances have been in courts held in private; judge only, one or two court officials and one or two selected members of the press. I've never heard of such a thing. Court cases are meant to be held with complete public scrutiny for justice to be done and must be seen to be done.
Facts...
Some context...Gordon Wilson

He has been there since 23rd of June, 2025 some twelve days after his detainment by Taupo Police in Taupo on the 11th June, 2025. As far as I can tell, he has not been duly processed by the court, and neither has he caused harm or injury to anyone. He does not know who his accusers are nor does he know what crime he has committed since he has never met his alleged victim nor has he uttered one phrase that can be honestly interpreted as a threat. However, Richard's story goes back further to the protests surrounding the mandated vaccines in 2021 following a year of rolling public lock downs and an unprecedented, full saturation propaganda campaign coordinated and promoted by the Ministry of Health and led by the then Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern. This was a difficult time for most of New Zealand and the world, especially in the west. A rift in society that has been acknowledged from all sides. Today, that rift is less visible. For a while it was palpable, especially for those in the minority. Today it is evident, predominantly, by ascertaining whether a individual was vaccinated or not, and by those who object to the vaccine or not (whether or not they actually received it).It doesn't take much imagination to realise that those who refused and objected to the mandated vaccine had constructed a narrative that included the possibility that those who designed and enforced the vaccine were responsible for adverse events that followed. The worst kept secret is that the vaccines were not vaccines, and they were neither safe nor effective. The evidence shows that they were more harmful by far than the sickness they were designed to cure. While it was clear early on that the disease was very much akin to the common flu, that mortality rates were average, lower than 2018 and 2019 , and that the common flu had all but completely disappeared in 2020; the government was full steam ahead with lock downs, compulsory wearing of masks, and censorship of those who saw the absurdity for what it was. However, the vast majority of the population saw those who contradicted the propaganda coming from the highest level of government as selfish and dangerous. This was fuelled by that same propaganda from government and the prime minister who openly declared herself and the government chief propagandists as the "the single source of truth" regarding the vaccine, the disease and the science behind it (although not quite in those exact words but clearly implied).
Many eminent and respected medical experts around the world were reporting serious harmful effects from the "vaccine". For many others it seemed self evident. They had relatives, friends and neighbours experiencing side effects immediately following the injection, some within a few days. Many reports from funeral homes and morticians of unprecedented increases in deaths and strange artefacts in autopsies were surfacing through social media and countless independent media sources. The government and mainstream media alike were completely impervious to alternative ideas, data points or anyone, qualified or not, with information that did not align with the "single source of truth." In mainstream media there was barely a mention of vaccine harm. Actually quite the reverse, but I digress. To this day, although less aggressively, the propaganda of the previous government stands unflinchingly in support of the "vaccines", the "deadly virus" that never was, and the health ministry system openly promotes the injections that harm as though they are a modern miracle cure for all transmissible diseases.Censorship and police brutality were perpetrated around the world, but sadly, New Zealand was no exception. The reader may of course disagree with that summary of 2020 onwards. That debate is on going and not the primary purpose of this writing. Suffice to say that Richard believes, along with many others, that the New Zealand Government, at the time, was knowingly part of world wide conspiracy to poison and depopulate the world, especially the western world. Richard might wish to word that differently, but as of this writing, I believe this to be a brief summary of Richard's views.
Richard's focus on government leaders in New Zealand has led him to express his belief that they should be made accountable for their words, actions and neglect. Richard witnessed the absolute refusal by all members of parliament to engage in discussion during the protest at parliament. For Richard, a crime of immense proportions has been committed by those entrusted with the preservation of our well being and leadership to that end. What is the appropriate response? For Richard, there is no question. After WWII there were the Nuremberg Trials that resulted in many being executed for medical crimes. Those executions were intended to serve as both a warning and an example of how such crimes should be treated. Eighty years later, many are calling for a "Nuremberg 2.0". Richard is one of them.
It can be argued that we live in a democratic country where freedom of speech is both honoured and protected by law. Some argue that while this true, that there are also limits. Where and how far those limits extend since they do seem to exist will personally differ from one man to the next. In New Zealand there are laws/papers regarding digital communication that describe hate speech and how it may be handled by government agents.
It is not too surprising that a man describing in intimate detail how he sees the future unfold where a Nuremberg trial might see some politicians and medical leaders hanged, might be unpopular amongst those so named. What is wrong with that situation is that those same politicians and leaders might abuse our system of justice to protect their fear that such accountability might occur. I think the dishonesty of the police portrayed in that video is fairly clear, but it is only the tip of the iceberg. Please read what Richard has, in his own words, but with help from friends, declared to the courts and to you now that this material is here.Richard's puppy
It is a unique alphanumeric identifier assigned to each individual who comes into contact with the police, courts, or corrections services—essentially acting as a lifelong "criminal justice ID" for tracking and administrative purposes. Introduced as part of modernized record-keeping systems (e.g., the National Intelligence Application or NIA used by police, and integrated with Corrections' databases), the PRN ensures consistent identification across agencies, preventing mix-ups in cases involving common names or multiple interactions with the system.Unlike temporary identifiers (e.g., a Charge Record Number or CRN for specific offenses), the PRN is permanent and non-transferable, linking to all related records like arrests, convictions, sentences, and parole status. It's generated automatically upon first police contact (e.g., an incident report) and is confidential under the Privacy Act 2020, accessible only to authorized personnel. The PRN is embedded in various operational processes: Assignment and Generation: Upon initial police involvement (e.g., a complaint, arrest, or traffic stop), the system creates a PRN if none exists. It's a simple code (e.g., something like "123456A") stored in secure databases.
For example, during booking at a police station, the PRN is printed on forms, photos, or fingerprints. Integration Across Agencies: Police: Used in the NIA for incident logging, warrants, and offender profiles.
Courts: Referenced in filings under the Criminal Procedure Act 2011 to link charges (CRNs) to the individual.
Corrections: Essential for prison management, where it's used for everything from cell assignment to rehabilitation tracking. Emails to inmates (via eprisoner services) require the PRN in the subject line for delivery.
Parole Board: Pulled up during hearings under the Parole Act 2002 to review full histories. Practical Uses: Family or friends depositing money into an inmate's trust account need the PRN to ensure funds go to the right person.
In parole assessments, it's used to compile reports on risk, compliance, and reintegration needs. PRNs are not publicly visible and are protected to avoid stigmatization, but data breaches or improper sharing can lead to complaints via the Office of the Privacy Commissioner. The PRN is a foundational tool for managing the lifecycle of criminal cases, from investigation to rehabilitation, promoting efficiency while raising equity concerns: To Crime Management: Investigation and Prosecution: Enables seamless data sharing between police and prosecutors, reducing errors in multi-agency cases (e.g., family violence involving Oranga Tamariki). It supports analytics for crime trends, like repeat offending in certain demographics.
Sentencing and Corrections: Courts reference the PRN to access priors under the Sentencing Act 2002, influencing penalties. In prisons, it tracks program completion (e.g., for parole eligibility), helping reduce recidivism by personalizing interventions.
Parole and Release: The New Zealand Parole Board uses it to assess "undue risk" to the community, deciding release conditions. For long-term sentences (>2 years), eligibility kicks in after one-third served, with PRN-linked reports guiding decisions.
Overall System Impact: By standardizing records, PRNs help lower administrative costs and improve outcomes—e.g., only 24% of eligible prisoners were paroled in 2013 due to incomplete rehab data, often tied to PRN-tracked progress. This aligns with broader goals like the Corrections Act 2004's focus on public safety and reintegration. To the Individual Involved (Offender, Victim, or Both): As an Offender: The PRN creates a "digital footprint" that follows them, aiding rehabilitation (e.g., tailored programs for Māori overrepresentation, who comprise ~50% of prisoners despite being 17% of the population). However, it can perpetuate cycles—e.g., a minor offense early in life flags someone for heightened scrutiny, potentially leading to harsher sentences or parole denials. Critics note biases, as low-level contacts (e.g., in deprived areas) disproportionately affect Pasifika and Māori individuals.
Privacy and Rights: Individuals can request their PRN-linked records via the Criminal Records Clean Slate scheme (for eligible low-level offenders) or Official Information Act requests. Breaches can violate rights under the New Zealand Bill of Rights Act 1990.
As a Victim: Indirectly benefits via better tracking of offenders, ensuring conditions like no-contact orders are enforced. Victims can submit to parole hearings, where PRN data informs decisions. In summary, the PRN is about administrative backbone—streamlining justice but highlighting needs for bias audits. If this isn't the acronym you meant, or if it's something else (e.g., in a specific context like youth justice), feel free to provide more details! Why are there two PRN numbers for Richard? There are a number of responses to that question... It's a clerical error => therefore it should be corrected.
It's standard practice => therefore it is not a unique identifier of a prisoner and will at least cause confusion and perhaps obfuscate information critical in court proceedings. Our criminal justice system needs to be reformed.
It's used to game the legal system. We do this so that if we don't like a prisoner or are asked to "deal" with a prisoner, we can run parallel records to deal to a prisoner punishment beyond the normal limits of the law => therefore a bunch of people in our criminal justice system need to be charged, go to trial and suffer the consequences. Are they standard for the transport of all clients regardless of size, weight and assessed risk level?
